Can I bring my spouse or a guest to an evening event?
Absolutely! Evening event tickets can be purchased separately and without attending the full conference.
Does CAM have membership numbers?
No, CAM does not have membership ID numbers. All members have a username and password to access certain areas of our website, such as the salary survey online, but these codes do not serve as a member ID number. Please email assistant@calmuseums.org or call 831/471-9970 to make sure that your membership is current.
I registered online and never received a confirmation or receipt.
Our online registration system is designed to email you immediately after you register. This email confirmation is your receipt of purchase. Please look in your inbox and/or junk mail as this email is very generic and often overlooked. If you still cannot locate it, or need something more formal for institutional reimbursement, please email admin@calmuseums.org or call 831/471-9970.
Why is my name not on the final conference registrant list?
During the registration process, every attendee was asked whether or not they wanted to omit their name, title, company, and zip code from the final registrant list. If you selected this box you were not included on the final list. This does not mean you are not registered to attend the conference.
SESSION PROPOSALS, PRESENTATIONS, AND SPEAKERS
Why is CAM focusing on interactive activity for session proposals?
Every year CAM conducts a survey of all attendees after the conference. Our most common suggestion is that session presentations incorporate more audience interaction. This interaction can be as simple as 20 minutes set aside at the end of the presentation for Q&A. The CAM audience also enjoys learning about how to implement certain topics or ideas into their own institutions, i.e. real world application.
If I am a speaker or moderator do I need to pay for full conference registration?
No, speakers and moderators are given complimentary registration for the day they are presenting. To attend the full conference, speakers will need to purchase only a single day of registration (for the day they are not presenting).
Will there be handouts at the session presentations?
In keeping with our sustainable practices, CAM encourages all presenters to limit paper handouts. Most session presentations will be available on CAM’s website one week after the conference. To receive up-to-the-minute conference information, make sure you are subscribed for our FREE CAM e-News!
